VMA entrusts Vincent Piront with the complete renovation of its industrial roofing
The company VMA, based in Louvain-la-Neuve in Wallonia, entrusted S.A. Vincent Piront with the complete renovation of the roof of its industrial building. This project covered a total surface area of 3,600 m², requiring a technical solution adapted to the existing structure.
Context and technical solution
The original substrate consisted of a steel deck, topped with 50 mm insulation and an aging bituminous membrane. To restore the thermal and functional performance of the roofing system, our teams carried out the following:
Installation of 120 mm thick PIR thermal insulation, significantly improving the building's energy performance (see our expertise in roofing insulation solutions);
Installation of a Sika 15G synthetic waterproofing membrane, ensuring long-lasting protection against weather and perfect adhesion to the new substrate.
An industrial roof ready for decades to come
Thanks to this renovation, the building now benefits from durable waterproofing and optimized thermal insulation, in line with current energy performance standards. This project reflects our recognized expertise in renovating industrial roofs on metal structures and multilayer systems.
