Vincent Piront completes a major roofing project for Bidfood SA in Thuin

S.A. Vincent Piront recently completed a major project in Thuin, in the province of Hainaut, with the full renovation of the industrial roof of the Bidfood SA site, covering a total surface area of 9,800 m².

A renovated roof ready for solar integration
Carried out in collaboration with Enersol, this project is part of an energy transition initiative, with the roof prepared for the installation of photovoltaic panels (see our dedicated page: roofs & photovoltaics).

The existing roofing system consisted of:

• a steel deck support;

• 130 mm PIR insulation, preserved for its excellent thermal performance.

The entire surface was covered with a Sika 15G synthetic waterproofing membrane, ensuring long-lasting protection and compatibility with solar mounting systems.

Clean and aesthetic peripheral finishes
To complete the renovation, co-laminated steel wall cappings were installed, providing a neat and weather-resistant finish around the perimeter.
