Project description : Inductotherm

Halls + Offices

The company ELOY has entrusted us for this job with the cladding and waterproofing tasks.

For this site in particular, the end customer wanted the supporting metal sheets for the roof and cladding to be manufactured from steel treated by Optigal™ galvanisation developed by Arcelor Mittal.

This hot-dip galvanising of the steel in a bath with a mixture of zinc, aluminium and magnesium improves resistance to corrosion, flexibility, lightness and durability.

Thanks to its lower density resulting in a weight reduction of the metal coating, Optigal™ allows for an overall weight reduction which can be 4 %, whilst the mechanical properties of the steel grade remain unchanged, due to the steel base. The level of protection remains the same, whilst it is still very durable and prolongs the life of the steel.

This site work has been carried out within the time scale requested by the customer.

The roof has been waterproofed in Sika SG 1.5mm membrane on 150mm thick expanded polystyrene insulation which has a density of 20kg.
