Solutions for the renovation of metal roofs

Like bituminous roofs, metal roofs are regularly renovated to make them waterproof again.

Regular renovations

Typical problems are:

  • Metal corrosion
  • Expansion and shrinkage of metal, eventually leading to loosening of fasteners and cracking of joints
  • Condensation
  • Leaks due to leaks in details, joints and complex connections (e.g. interior gutters, skylights, etc.)

Test of time

Sika membrane systems for the renovation of existing metal roofs are based on single-ply Sika® membranes

This system is designed to be able to solve each of the aforementioned problems. Once renovated, the metal roof will be watertight again and can stand the test of time.
