Soleilmont Abbey – Fleurus

Renovation of an initial section of the Abbey roofing

Our teams have just finished installing the waterproofing membrane for a section of roofing on the Soleilmont Abbey.

The new Soleilmont Abbey was erected in Fleurus in 1973. The modern architecture of the time is reflected in the rows of buildings and the clean lines of the overall layout, in keeping with the concept of simplicity.

The Abbey placed an initial order with us for the renovation of 575 m² of roofing.

The roofing was firstly cleared of gravel, which was retained and stored on the ground for later replacement. New 100 mm PIR insulation was fitted and a loose-laid Sika 2.0 mm SGmA membrane guarantees the new waterproofing. Particular attention was paid to all the parapets that separate the different buildings.

The final construction phase, restoring the gravel ballast, is still to be completed.
